Chantry Rosena--Information Tread

In the old and beautiful city of Budapest lies a small collective of magic users. The Chantry Rosena. For many years this collage Chantry have been a place for learning and a safe place for the Traditionalist mages which it serves as home for. But lately the Chantry have been plagued by tragedy. First one of the young un awakened apprentices was found murdered in the attic, then a custos serving maid comitted suicide, and now one of the mages, the Cultist of Ecstasy Harold Palorindi was found shot in his own study. Death are creeping the hallways of great Chantry Rosena and you and your friends as the Chantry's Sentinels have been tasked with finding out what is going on.

This will be a who done it mystery game set in Mage the Ascension setting. We will be using the 2 ed setting so no Avatar Winds, the Ascension wars still rages and the Masters still rule the Traditions. If you are used to Revised do not worry, the difference is not that great. Just PM me if you wonder about anything.

Please create starting characters and post them on the characters forum. All merits and flaws are usable. I want you to include at least one paragraph of background information, but well done characters with a well made background will get a bonus in freebie points. Descriptions of Chantry Rosena

Chantry Rosene is a old, beautiful building. It used to be the home of the youngest daughter of a great Romanian Boyar. When Isadora Mavrocordat as the noblewoman was named Awakened and joined the Verbena her home became a Chantry. Isadora is still a part of the Chantry Rosena's ruling Deacon Cabal.

The chantry itself is a three story building with an attic and a basement. It has a lush garden and the house itself is rather boxy, with gargoyles and pillars decorating the outside. Inside the first floor have the kitchen, dining area, library, common rooms and a computer room as well as servants quarters. The second floor have several storage rooms, three laboratories for use by the resident mages and a ball room, the council chambers and a small office for Deacon Primus Augustus Marius Lumari, and a small office for the second in command Lady Isadora Mavrocordat.

The third floor are mostly bedrooms for the mages who live at the Chantry, as well as some linen cabinets and such. The attic houses more bed room, a large storage room, a ritual chamber and a hobby/TV room.

The Basement have a laundry room, a wine cellar, two ritual rooms, a workshop and a small shielded cell mostly used if one of the Chantry mages get Quiet and have to be restrained for their own safety, and for everyone else's safety.

On the grounds are also a garage housing three cars, though most of the cars have to be parked on a small private parking lot behind the property. Over the garage are two small bedrooms used as guest quarters. There are a small house on the property where the chief of staff and caretaker of the property Alexandros Rigma and his wife Luba lives. There are a tool shed and a stables, the stables ground floor still have horses, but the second floor have guest rooms.

The Chantry lies in a large, lush garden, behind it are a small parking lot for the Chantry residents cars. The Chantry lies about half an hour drive from Budapest, enough away from the city to be in the countryside. The nature around the place is very beautiful. Not far from it lies a beautiful little forest surrounding a tiny lake, this is the Chantry's main node. The forest are inhabited by fay and the Chantry is in constant negotiations to have a peaceful relationship with the fay living in woods around the Node. So far the peace have been kept, but who knows how long that will last.

I am not a roll the dice for every action kind of GM. However dice can me useful at times. When I call for a roll just use your own dice at home, or if you want to a online dice roller. But I trust that you will give the right numbers so a dice roller is not necessary. Just post the result of the roll then either in this tread or in the game tread directly.
